Family Matters

And among His signs is this: that He created for you mates from among yourselves so that you may dwell in tranquility with them. He has put love and mercy between your hearts; in that are signs for those who reflect. (Qur’an, Chapter 30:21)

The ICB Wayland Family Matters (FM) Committee is a volunteer lead initiative whose goal is to promote and strengthen harmonious family life within the ICB community.

We aim to:

  • Provide programs that aim to address social-emotional well being.
  • Offer confidential inquiries and consultation services.
  • Provide information about related online resources and community programs available in the Boston area.

Confidential Inquiries and Consultations can be made at Confidential Inquiries

General Inquiries can be made to a member of the FM Committee at FM.general@icbwayland.org. As this is currently a volunteer initiative, emails will be reviewed and responded to once a week.

Community and Online Resources, including hotline, emergency and community service phone numbers and websites are available on our Resources page.

If you are aware of Muslim related resources, please share via email to FM.contribute@icbwayland.org. We are particularly interested in adding consultants and pychotherapists with experience in supporting Muslims clients.

Disclaimer: The FM Committee provides information, support, and access to professional referrals free of charge.Although committee members are professionals in their own fields and are available for support, guidance and advice, their services are not intended to be a substitute for any professional consultation with a doctor, lawyer, psychologist, social worker or mental health clinician. Therefore, FM Committee members are not offering their professional services. Rather, as a community service, they offer informed advice, access to referrals, and support that is informal and unofficial.
