ICB Wayland

Annual Food Drive

Every year, students and parents of ICB Sunday School distribute non-perishable food items to those in need via Muslim Community Social Services (MCSS). ICB Sunday school students with the help from their parents collect funds to purchase food items. The fundraising starts in late January and continues for about 3 months. In Spring, our students come together for a "Community Service Session" and assemble the purchased food into bags to give to representatives from MCSS.

The 9th Annual Food Drive has started:
This year again, we are seeking sponsors for one or more bags at a cost of $20.00 per bag. Please sponsor now online via Paypal (you do not need a Paypal account and can use your credit card).

On the third Saturday of the month, the MCSS food program provides enough food to about 150 needy families that would last for about 2-3 days. It consists of some meat, chicken, rice, canned goods, and other staples. Many volunteers, including youth, are actively involved in this activity which raises social awareness and consciousness.
